Band Interview: Exmortus

As you can see from the date published of this article, today is Thursday, January 21, 2016. Tonight, at the St. Louis, MO venue Fubar, Los Angeles, California technical death thrashers Exmortus are scheduled to perform as openers, along with Cauldron, for Enforcer and Warbringer (also featuring local act Stormcaller). On September 15, 2015, Damnation Magazine guest interviewer Tim talked to Exmortus guitarist/vocalist Jadran “Conan” Gonzalez and guitarist David Rivera before their show, opening for former Megadeth guitarist Marty Friedman, also at Fubar – our photo gallery of which, you can see here.

Here at Damnation Magazine, we don’t like to leave any project unfinished. While the release of this interview may have been down to the wire due to balancing this site with our day jobs and other life requirements, we’re still determined to publish our material for you, our followers. Please enjoy our interview with Exmortus as they discuss topics including their own style and brand of thrash metal, being featured in a Virgin Mobile commercial, and supporting a current tour while still having future touring plans to prepare for.

Special thanks to Kelly Walsh of Prosthetic Records for setting up this interview. Exmortus’ fourth and latest album, Ride Forth, is available now on Prosthetic Records. Don’t miss Exmortus on tour with Enforcer, Warbringer, and Cauldron as they trek across North America through late February!
